Back garden of the Acacias
Over the wall the farmer kept chickens. One day I took some of my mothers eggs (with lion stamp on them) and swapped them with the freshly laid eggs in the chicken hut. There was a hole in the wall I climbed through. I would have liked to have seen the farmers face when he saw his eggs already had a stamp on them!!!!!

The coach house in the garden of the Acacias in the 50's.
Gardening stuff was in the bottom part of the caoch house and in the upper part my father dried home grown tobacco.

Hanna Jakes and baby Suzanne Michaud at the rec
This picture was taken at the rec when there were swings and roundabouts and a rocking horse. Probably 1953.

Suzanne's neighbour
This is a picture of Dorothy Findlay (not sure of spelling), she lived in the bungalow next to the Normans house in Long Lane. She was my guardian angel, taught me how to make flapjacks and shortbread.

Suzanne's class at school
I am in the 3rd row, fourth from the left in the dark dress with lace bits. It was actually red, I have a hand tinted picture of me in it, one of my mothers creations! Next tome on the right is Heather Smith and in the row in front in the dark cardigan and blond hair is Susan Meekin.

Back of the house
I think the old kitchen block may have been demolished, it looked like it last time I looked. In that part of the house was a kitchen, larder, utility room, downstairs loo and long narrow workshop.

Suzanne's father
My father was a retired musician and Phd, he ran an occult correspondence course from there called the Order of the Hidden Masters. He was 67 when I was born having run away with my mother (a long story, subject of forthcoming book)!!!
