A very early scene of Rampton End,All but one of the first five houses remain to day, with Chain House the first on the right,the second has sadly gone and the old Milk Maid Public House in the middle.

Silver Street taken from the junction with Rampton End. the first house has long since gone and been replaced by the Salvation Army Churh, But most of the houses further down the street still remain to day.

Picture is of 5,7 and 9 Rockmill End. The houses were demolished and two new houses were built round the large chimney.

Picture is of 5 and 7 Rockmill End before they were converted into one house by Jack Papworth. The large chimney was removed at that time.

The House to the left of the shop is where Dennis Jeeps lived (this picture is before he was born.) Sadly, it has recently been demolished for new development

Old Will
The rubble from a burnt out building during WW1 (~1916). This is opposite the "old buttery nursery" on the High St (just visible on the right.)

This is looking North down the High St. The thatched house on the right is the site where the post office now stands
