These are fragments of an earlier, Saxon church that Watkins found inside the walls of the current church. They are now set in the porch of the current church

From AndrewC: Old Bedford and New Bedford rivers
Note the St Ives - Ely railway line appearing from bottom left and then heading up the photo. This was locally known as the Pork and lard line after the diet of the navvies who built it. One bridge parapet can still be seen just before Earith lock, and a sign on the end of a cottage on the opposite side of the road.

From AndrewC: This would be a musical item from Willingham Primary school, as part of the entertainment at the annual village Field Day in the 1970's
The headmaster Mr Goodwin can be seen back view only playing his piano accordion. In addition the teachest double bass which he introduced to the school can be seen to the right.
His predeccessor Miss Addison was quite sport orientated. Mr Goodwin however seemed to concentrate on music and country dancing.

Yes - this is taken from Green Street looking North West. The date is around 1897. The girl seems to be the same one as in the picture of "horses struck by lightning" which suggests the daughter of the photographer.
