Lovely picture of Annie and Hilda Waites. Presumably taken by Horace Thoday, perhaps while he was courting Annie!

I took part in this and carried the brownie flag, I was just to the right of this picture, with most of the others, the one brownie in the picture is Christine, one of the Lucas twins. I think it was taken in 1972

Hilda Waites my grandmother is actually the cousin of Annie. They were raised as sisters when both of Hilda's parents died in the same year. Don't know who the gent is.

This is the wedding of Miss Annie Waite and Mr Horace Thoday. They are the couple on the left. The woman in white is Annie Waite's sister, Hilda.
Horace Thoday took many of early photographs on this site. He lived on Fen End.

On the tables - first left looking frightend is Tim Curtis, now a Anglia News Reader. Second right is Tim Fowler son of Chick. Trevor Benton has his hand held up in the middle of the pic. I think the lad making a face in called Mark Munford?
