Long Stanton Station as I remember it, with a steam hauled train (NOT a bus!) approaching from Swavesey. The first time I used this station was in February 1957 when I, my parents and siblings alighted from a Kettering to Cambridge train. The last time was when my wife, daughter and I departed to live in Cyprus. When we returned in 1968, the "people who know best" had closed it.

The first time I used this station was in February 1957 when I, my parents and siblings alighted from a Kettering to Cambridge train.
