This pub (the Vine) was owned by my Great Great Grandfather in 1851 and is shown as such in the Census of the same year.
His name was James Huckell. He was also a farmer and I think he also may have had some sort of shop or store. The whole family worked either on the farm or in one of the business as soon as they were old enough to be of use. Indeed his 14 year old son Charles was working on the farm in 1851.
