Gas Mask Drill

When I was at the Old Infant School during WW2 the Pavillion on the New Rec was used as a gas shelter and we had to walk through with gas masks on to make sure we were safe if we had a raid.

The old primary school.

On the left is the infants building, which had it's own playground facing out onto Earith Road. To the right is the main block.
The roof of the headmasters house is between the two.
