In 1891 census, the Few Family lived at the Vineyards. Harry Few is a Corn Merchant and Farmer and he lives with his wife and 5 children two servants and lodger called Susanna Prentice who is the schoolteacher. the Baptist Minister - James Carvath was a visitor on census night. Neighbours are the Ingle, Thoday, Jakes and Wayman families.

From Gill Norman: These ladies are gathered in the garden of our house in Long Lane, on the corner of the surgery road. We believe the lady seated may have been Mrs Thoday, and it was possibly a meeting of the Red Cross ladies. Can anyone confirm?
