This was taken in the 1950's in Blackpit. At the time, Blackpit had all small-holdings. The man is Keith Bonus, the lady in the yellow dress is his wife, Lily. The other lady was Lily's sister. The flowers are, of course, the famous pyrethrums.

This was taken around 1950 before Milbury Stores had been built. The car was a 1936 Vauxhall. The trailer was loaded with 60 gross of 2lb fruit baskets ready for delivering to our customers. In the background is Mr. Peacock's tinsmith shop and, just showing, is Rodney Hayden's house (in Mill Rd.) The children are Glenda, Colin & Ian Jeeps.
