Correct - the house visible at the end is "Herewake" (on the other side of the High St.) Cottages on the left now demolished.

This is the bridge over the lode at the rec. However, this picture is mirror imaged. The interesting this is that the original picture was printed wrong way round. You can see corrected version at photo 47

The Pound, on Pound Lane. This is now a grasse area in front of the new houses.

This is Berrycroft. Picture taken looking West from the corner with Mill Lane. House on right is still on the corner. I'd guss this is c. 1900-1910. Tradesman's sign over door but cannot read it.

Pont Searles with Rowells gents outfitters in the background. Rowells had their main shop in the Market square in St Ives. I can remember my father going to St Ives to buy clothing from Mr Percy Rowell in the 70's. (AndrewC)

Correction:- The one on the left as we are looking at it was a Hairdresser prior to Wilf Searle (Barber's Pole visible) One on the right here was Bert Conquest who I think was a Boot and Shoe maker (Tony Manning)
