yep, I think it is Mrs Easy.
Is the next lady to the right Mrs Caple ? not sure on that one. The man is Teddy Austin without doubt.
Somewhere in there should be Mrs Jeeps and Mrs Ingle, but I can't place them. Can anyone else help ??

I agree. The house is called Berry Cottage. The iron railings went during the war. I was born there in 1946. It is now part of the shop but this photo appears to predate the shop as there is no sign of it to the right of the picture.

The building on the left was the shop. That on the right was built later as a warehouse which could be converted to a house if trade was not good! It was this building which was burnt. Repair could not use wood which was probably unavilable in the war so the new roof was flat made of concrete beams laid side by side and ashphelted. It was extended at the back in the 1960s to make the new shop while the original shop became the machinery showroom. My father took a photo of the fire damage.

I agree. The other buildings are very distinctive (and Mandy ought to know anyway)!

No it's on the Green. See also Slides08_17. The building visible through the gate is the thatched cottage on the corner of Green St. & Priest Ln. facing Church St.
