View CommentsOld WillThe "beams" on the building were fake. There were moulded into the cement render and painted. In earlier pictures there are no beams! This cottage was originally brick but after WWII a Mr Sutherland rendered it with decorative plasterwork to make it look half-timbered with pictures in the upstairs windows. This building had three insert pictures of ships on the front, which can be seen in the photo, this was one of the most memorable house fronts in the village
